Workplace behaviours

Regardless of the type of organisation you’re working with or the style of the work environment, it is expected that you will not be exposed to or display concerning and inappropriate behaviours.

These include:

  • Giving unwanted attention
  • Hacking or inappropriately accessing computer records
  • Intentional theft
  • Making unreasonable demands
  • Displaying threatening behaviour
  • Misuse of social media (such as posting selfies from the workplace or criticising your supervisor on Facebook)

If you have any concerns whilst completing your WIL activity you must speak out to staff at your university. This could be your academic supervisor, a staff member who has helped you source your WIL activity or even someone from a support service such as a counsellor or the wellbeing team. You will not get in trouble for speaking out about a concern.
