A model of organisational culture

Let’s look at a model to help understand organisational culture.

Edgar Schein proposed an organisational culture model which applies to workplace culture. Schein’s model depicts organisational culture across three levels: artifacts, values, and assumptions.

This model shows culture is a bit like an iceberg, in that only a very small amount of culture is visible whilst much of it is present in the attitudes and assumptions of people within the workplace.
