Hofstede’s model can help us to critically reflect on our own culture and consider how what we do may be seen by people from other cultures.
When going into an Australian workplace it can sometimes be challenging to understand the different cultures that are present. This can, at times, lead to conflict and misunderstanding. However, with an appreciation of the cultures and capacity to analyse the situation, students are able to successfully navigate an unfamiliar workplace.
